We use the amount you actually paid for the product so the calculation stays straightforward even when an order includes a sale or discount.
The Short Answer
The Net Item Total is the purchase price actually paid for the returned item after applicable discounts, but before sales tax, shipping charges, Checkout+ charges, or other order fees.
Why This Matters
If a product normally sells for $500 but you paid $450 after a discount, the 5% Checkout+ boost starts from $450—not the original MSRP.
